How Our Story Started

Our story started at a work social, over a conversation about Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. album. A month of texting later, Tom finally found the courage to ask Fatemeh out.

Our first date was at Blu Bar in the Northern Quarter and it didn’t take long to discover our favourite things to do together: finding new places to eat, yapping with our friends and planning holidays.

Somewhere between all the trips, we bought a house and built a life together. Then came a very last-minute trip to the Maldives for Fatemeh’s 30th birthday...

Tom spent the entire week wearing a bum bag so that bringing it along on the big night wouldn’t raise any suspicions. Fatemeh meanwhile, was becoming increasingly concerned about why he insisted on taking a bum bag to one of the nicer restaurants.

Before dinner, we headed back to the private beach where we’d watched the sunset the night before. This time Tom got down on one knee, finally revealed what had been hiding in the bloody bum bag all week and asked Fatemeh to marry him.

And now, we’ve planned one more trip... except this time, we’re bringing all of you with us to Dubrovnik, August 2027!
